Q. I was found to have ectopic pregnancy and I am bleeding now. What to do?

Hi doctor,

When I was 10 weeks pregnant, it was found out to be an ectopic pregnancy. I did get a surgery or shot, because my hCG was decreasing on its own. I was keep on doing blood test for every 48 hours. When my hCG was 5, I started spotting. After two days, I started bleeding heavily. I am wondering if this is my first cycle after an ectopic pregnancy or something else. I am bleeding with clots for the past 10 days.

Welcome to dr.sitehome.info.

  • As per the hCG report (human chorionic gonadotropin), the ectopic is getting resolved (attachment removed to protect patient identity).
  • Usually, the bleeding post ectopic should always be evaluated. So, please get back to your gynecologist immediately.
