Q. What could cause pelvic pain?

Hi doctor,

I am having pelvic pain when I sit, stand or walk. I am late for my period. I took a home pregnancy test and it came back negative.

Welcome to dr.sitehome.info.

  • Usually, the cause of pelvic pain could be some vaginal or urinary infection. Please get yourself checked by a gynecologist internally and avoid having sex till then.
  • Wear cotton panties and loose lowers. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids.
  • Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time you use the washroom. Avoid using vaginal douches and creams.
  • Just wait for a week or 10 days and repeat the test. If the test results are negative, then there is nothing to worry. However, within the said time you should be getting your periods.
  • Do get back to me with the reports, so that I can guide you further. Take care.
